1-5. Indicator The error status of the this units are indicated by the type of flashing of indicator. The top cover has the ON/STANDBY indicator and the LAMP/COVER indicator. Various error contents are indicated by the type of flashing of indicator. For details of the types of indicator flashing and the error statuses, refer to the list shown below.
1-6. Circuit Description QA board The overall input connectors, SCAN CONV. and sub CPU are mounted. The built-in CPU of SCAN CONV. controls the whole system. And the QA board also controls the fan. SCAN CONV. performs the signal-processing function such as HDMI receiving, A/D conversion, pixel number conversion, sharpness, contrast, brightness, color, hue, gamma correction, I/P conversion, NR, and 3D processing.
1-7. Disconnecting/Connecting the Flexible Card Wires The flat cables, flexible card wires and boards are used to connect between the following boards. Life of flexible card wire will be significantly shortened if it is folded. Be very careful not to fold the flat cables, flexible card wires and boards.
1-8. Lead-free Solder All boards mounted in this unit use lead-free solder. Be sure to use lead-free solder when repairing the boards of this unit. A lead free mark (LF) indicating that the solder contains no lead is printed on each board.
