8. EACH SETTING AND ADJUSTMENT

8.1 UPDATING OF THE FIRMWARE

Purpose:
A
After replacement of the MAIN Assy, updating of the firmware to the latest version is required.
Necessary software and tools
PC (With Windows 2000, or Windows XP)
GGD1530 (Dedicated cable for connector conversion)
GGF1605 (Interface device: MINICUBE2)
QB-Programmer (software for updating) Refer to the next page.
Parameter file (To be used with QB-Programmer)
Firmware file
• You can obtain QB-Programmer and the parameter file from the website on the Internet. (See "How to Download the
Update Software.")

• You can obtain the firmware file from Niis on the Internet.
Connect the MINICUBE2 to one of the connectors (for the main microcomputer and submicrocomupter) located on the left
side panel of the DJM-5000 main unit, using the dedicated connecting cable. (The dedicated connecting cable is required to
connect one of the 7-pin connectors for updating and debugging provided with the DJM-5000 with the 15-pin connector of the
MINICUBE2.)
To connect the host machine on which the program for updating has been installed with the MINICUBE2, use the USB cable
supplied with the DJM-5000.
