A 7 Mode 7: Confirmation of the amplitude value that can be altered with a rotary volume
• The maximum amplitude value of a signal that can be altered with a rotary variable control on the operation panel and
which is to be AD-converted can be confirmed with lighting of the Level Meter LEDs.
• The value is expressed by the number of LEDs lit.To measure the value, set the rotary variable control whose signal you
wish to measure to your desired position.
• Press the SEND & RETURN ON/OFF button to start measurement. Press the same button again to reset.
During measurement, the maximum amplitude value remains displayed.
• The SEND & RETURN ON/OFF button is lit
during measurement and goes dark when measurement is reset.
The details on the amplitude-value display are described below.

• As in Confirmation mode for values that can be altered with rotary variable controls (Mode 6), the variable

controls are divided into 9 groups, according to sections, for LED displays. The correspondence between
LED displays and the variable controls is the same as that in Confirmation mode for values that can be
altered with rotary variable controls.
Use of this mode during repair
• Use for failure judgment of the rotary variable control. The possible symptoms are shown below. It may be judged as
defective if the amplitude value exceeds +4 or -4. The variable control can be set to any position during measurement.
The sound volume change arbitrary.
Interrupted sound leakage occurs even if the sound volume is decreased to the minimum at the Master or ZONE.
The MIDI signal is output even if the variable control is not adjusted.
• Use for operation check of the rotary variable control after its replacement.
