Acceptable Paper

This section describes the paper that can be used with this machine. It also provides a list of acceptable
paper sizes and paper types, and information on paper that might damage the machine.
Note that if the machine is damaged when using paper other than paper in this guide, this machine is not
covered under warranty.
While Canon USA, Inc. ("Canon USA") strongly recommends that Canon branded media be used with
Canon brand devices whenever possible, Canon USA understands that alternatives may be available.
Therefore, as an aid to end-users of Canon imagePRESS Digital Print Systems (the "Devices"), Canon
USA tested, in limited quantities, certain media with Devices operated and maintained in accordance with
the Devices' specifications, using only Canon genuine parts and consumables. Canon USA found that,
during the course of this testing, Devices using this media functioned in accordance with their
specifications. As a result, subject to the foregoing, Canon USA finds this media acceptable for use in the
Devices (hereinafter "Acceptable Media").
Please note that Canon USA: (1) does not endorse the Acceptable Media; (2) makes no assurances that
the Acceptable Media will perform in any particular end-user's Device and; (3) recommends that end-users
consult with their servicing dealer to (a) confirm that use of any Acceptable Media with the end-user's
Device will not affect any servicing agreement with such dealer, and (b) to ensure that the Device is
operated and maintained in the appropriate environmental and other conditions stated in the operator's
manual.
Please note that the specifications of a particular Acceptable Media may be changed by the manufacturer
so as to affect its acceptability to Canon USA. Canon USA intends to test other media in the future and
recommends that end-users check with their servicing dealers for future updates to the list of Acceptable
Media.
If an Acceptable Media nevertheless does not perform in accordance with the end-user's expectations,
Canon USA suggests that the end-user use Canon branded media designated for the end-user's Device.
Canon branded media has been tested and qualified to meet Canon quality specifications for both feed
and image under normal office conditions (68 degrees F – 80.6 degrees F/30-70% Relative Humidity).
Canon branded media maintains consistent performance for end-users because Canon branded media
specifications are fixed and monitored through Canon's stringent quality control standards for product and
product packaging.
