Unboxing Your EVELO
1. Begin unboxing the bike by cutting the
banding then opening the box. Use caution
regarding the staples as they can be very
sharp.
2. Remove the small boxes.
3. The easiest way to get the bike out of the
box is to lie the box down on its side and
then slide it out. See image ----->
4. Remove packaging including zip ties.
Caution: sometimes the zip ties are used to
hold cables or wires in place. A good indi-
cator is if the zip tie is touching a painted
surface of the bike—those should remain in
place.
5. Empty all the boxes so you know what
you are working with.

  • Page 1 The focus of this document is to assist with the assembly of your new EVELO Aurora. The scope is intentionally narrow -- The “User Guide” that was included with your bike covers a much broader spectrum of topics: fit adjustments, battery care, controls etc.
  • Page 2: Install Front Wheel

This image shows the bike ready for assembly. Organizing helps the process greatly. Lower the kickstand to increase stability during the assembly process. Install Front Wheel To install the front wheel first remove all the pack- aging. Using a 5mm allen wrench, remove the axle from the fork...
  • Page 3 Check the slot in the brake caliper for a plastic spacer. Remove it if there is one. This piece is typi- cally either orange or black. Lift the front end of the bike and roll the wheel into place. Pay special attention to the brake rotor and guide it into the caliper.
  • Page 4: Install Handlebars

With the 5mm allen wrench, turn the axle clock- wise until it is screwed in entirely and tight in the fork. Before proceeding, make sure the fork arch faces forward and the brake is on the left hand side of the bicycle as shown.
  • Page 5 Lift the handlebars into position, paying attention to the routing of the cables and wires. The wires will run on the inside of the hydraulic hose (which goes to the brake caliper) when installed the preferred way. The image to the right shows the wires/hose routed cleanly.
  • Page 6 Install Front Fender Remove the two bolts from the lower portion of the fork. Lift the fender into position b y guiding the front end of the fender between the tire and front fork arch. Rest the fender on the tire, and place the head- light between the fork arch and fender tab as shown.
  • Page 7: Install Pedals

Lift the fender as high as possible so that it is touching the fork arch. Move the headlight so that the mount is vertical, and tighten the bolt. Install Pedals Installation of the pedals requires a 15 mm wrench. It is important to note that the pedals are thread- ed differently.
  • Page 8: Use Of Battery

Use of Battery Keys for your battery were attached to the bike (typically the handlebars). We cannot replace exact keys, so it is a good idea to keep one in a safe place and use the other for daily use. To release the battery, insert the key in the lock and twist.
  • Page 9 Your new EVELO bicycle is equipped with a three-inch tire and mounted to a wide rim. Your bike’s tire and rim are both designed for maximum comfort, traction, and stability. This tire and rim combination may be a bit different than bike tires you have used in the past. Given the much higher volume created by tire and rim combination, the recommended pressure is sig- nificantly lower than tire pressure on most bicycles.
  • Page 10 It is located on the headtube of your bike, just above the front fork. There is considerable additional information in your “User Guide”. Of course, if you ever have questions, our team is ready to help! https://www.evelo.com/contact 877-991-7272...
