4. Snap Hook: Check the snap hook to be sure that it operates freely and locks. Inspect the snap
hook for any signs of damage to the keepers and any bent, cracked, or distorted components.
5. Snap Hook Load Indicator: A load indicator is located in the swivel of the snap hook. The swivel
eye will elongate and expose a red area when subjected to fall arresting forces as shown in Fig. 3.
UNITS THAT DO NOT PASS THIS INSPECTION OR HAVE BEEN SUBJECTED TO FALL
ARRESTING FORCES MUST BE REMOVED FROM SERVICE.
IV. TRAINING
It is the responsibility of the user to assure that they read, understand, and follow all instructions and are
trained in the care and use of this device. Training should be repeated periodically and any time there
is a change of components within the system. Training must be conducted without exposing the trainee
to a fall hazard.
4. Mousqueton : Vérifier que le mousqueton fonctionne librement et se ferme bien. Surveiller tout
dommage au doigt du mousqueton et tout composant plié, fissuré ou tordu.
5. Indicateur de charge du mousqueton : Un indicateur de charge se trouve dans la partie pivotante
du mousqueton. Si le mousqueton est soumis à des forces d'arrêt de chute, l'œillet pivotant s'étirera
et présentera une surface rouge, tel qu'illustré à la Figure 3.
LES DISPOSITIFS QUI ÉCHOUENT CETTE INSPECTION OU QUI ONT ÉTÉ SOUMIS À DES
FORCES D'ARRÊT DE CHUTE DOIVENT ÊTRE MIS HORS SERVICE.
IV. FORMATION
Il incombe à l'utilisateur de lire, de comprendre et de suivre toutes les directives et d'être formé au
niveau de l'entretien et du fonctionnement de cet appareil. La formation doit être répétée périodiquement
et chaque fois qu'il y a un changement de composants au sein du système. La formation doit être
effectuée sans exposer le stagiaire à un risque de chute.
4. Mosquetón: Revise el mosquetón para asegurar que funcione libremente y se enclave. Inspeccione
el mosquetón por si existen señales de daño en los trinquetes y cualquier componente torcido,
agrietado o deformado.
5. Indicador de Carga del Mosquetón : Hay un indicador de carga localizado en la parte oscilante del
mosquetón. El ojo oscilante se alargará y dejará expuesta una zona roja cuando haya quedado
expuesta a fuerzas de supresión de caídas conforme a lo ilustrado en la Fig. 3.
AQUELLAS UNIDADES QUE NO APRUEBEN ESTA INSPECCION, O QUE HAYAN QUEDADO
SUJETAS A FUERZAS DE SUPRESIÓN DE CAÍDAS, DEBEN SER RETIRADAS DEL SERVICIO.
IV. CAPACITACIÓN
Es responsabilidad del usuario asegurarse de haber leído, entendido y obedecido todas las
instrucciones, así como de estar capacitado en el cuidado y el uso de este dispositivo. La capacitación
debe repetirse de manera periódica y en cualquier momento en que se produzca un cambio de
componentes dentro del sistema. La capacitación debe realizarse sin exponer al aprendiz al peligro de
una caída.
