Safety instructions

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
Connect the appliance only to correctly installed mains power sockets sup-
plying a mains voltage of 120 - 240 V ~ / 50/60 Hz.
The power cable on this appliance cannot be replaced. In the event of it
being damaged the whole appliance must be disposed of.
In the event of operating malfunctions and before cleaning the appliance,
remove the plug from the mains power socket.
To disconnect the power cable, always pull the plug from the mains power
socket, do not pull on the power cable itself.
Do not kink or crimp the power cable and place it in such a way as to
prevent anyone from stepping on or tripping over it.
Ensure that the power cable cannot become wet or damp while the appli-
ance is in operation. Place it such that it cannot be crushed or damaged.
Should the appliance, the power cable or the plug become damaged,
to avoid personal risks arrange for it/them to be repaired by Customer
Services.
Do not use this appliance outdoors.
Do not wrap the power cable around the appliance and protect it from
being damaged. Under no circumstances may the appliance be submersed
in fl uids or fl uids be allowed to permeate the housing. Do not expose the
appliance to humidity and do not use it outdoors. Should liquids enter the
housing, unplug the appliance from the power socket immediately and
arrange for it to be repaired by a qualifi ed technician.
To ensure that you can disconnect the appliance quickly in an emergency,
do not use extension cables.
NEVER grasp the appliance, power cable or power plug with wet hands.
Disconnect the appliance from mains power immediately after use. The
appliance is completely free of electrical power ONLY when unplugged .
