1. INTRODUCTION
The
CITYCOM III GUARD UNIT CENTRAL
for communication between homes, the guard unit and the outdoor panel. It allows 4
different types of communication.:
Guard Unit - House / House - Panel / Guard Unit - Panel / House - House
The Guard Unit Central's function is to switch the circuits that enable us to
establish different types of communication. The Central is handled by means of a
micro-controller that detects calls from the outdoor panel or the apartments.
communication type is selected using the control buttons. Depending on which button is
pressed, the Central will be in one of three possible states:
1 – GUARD UNIT - HOUSE and HOUSE - HOUSE : green button.
2 - HOUSE - PANEL : yellow button.
3 - GUARD UNIT - PANEL : red button.
There are two different call tones:
- Continuous 570 Hz tone. Call is made from house to guard unit or vice-versa.
- Tremolo sound of two alternate frequency tones at 500 Hz and 860 Hz. Call is
made from the outdoor panel.
By means of the key, the guard unit connects or disconnects the micro-controller
circuit power source. This allows the installation three operating modes:
DAY mode: Key position connected. The type of communication is selected with
the control buttons. It is not possible to call directly from the panel to the apartments; it
must be the concierge who sets up communication between the panel and the desired
house. This mode is only possible in normal mode configuration (jumper CN8
short circuited between pins 2 and 3).
AUTOMATIC mode: Key position connected. The Central receives the calls from
apartments and the outdoor panel. The control buttons are used to select the type of
communication. Calls made from the outdoor panel to the apartments are received
simultaneously in the Guard Unit Central and the house and automatically establish
