Using your BT Defender 100
Each time you disconnect your
headset, the volume returns to the
original setting. This ensures
different users will always find the
same volume setting when they
connect their headset.
IMPORTANT
When the Secrecy function is
switched On with some call centre
systems, you can unplug your
headset while remaining on a call,
the caller will be kept on hold.
This could enable your system to
hold a call while you disconnect for
a minute to attend to other business.
The 'Startle' effect is when a loud
noise startles you, causing a sudden
contraction of the neck and shoulder
muscles. This can lead to neck and
back injuries.

The indicator light flashes green and you can talk to someone
else without your caller hearing you.

Sudden loud noises
If your caller makes a sudden loud noise – shouting, blowing
a whistle, loud hailer etc – all of which have happened – your
BT Defender 100 instantly reduces the sound level to a safe
level. This helps protect your ears and prevent injuries caused
by the 'Startle' effect.
