Due to the construction and the driver technology XTZ loudspeakers can be driven with very high volume levels.
With a high quality amplifier, delivering undistorted signals, the speakers can achieve high levels without any
compromises in sound quality. Attention must be given to amplifiers with very low power and adjustable tone
controls or switches. These types may soon overreach their own performance limits and may send distorted
output signals to the speakers, compromising even high quality technology. Any damage caused under such
circumstances is not covered by the XTZ warranty.
Every XTZ Divine speaker is equipped with sound tuning possibilities as part of our room tuning concept.
Tweeter level
On the backside of the speaker (above the speaker terminals), is a switch, [T] which will alter the tweeter
sound characteristics. Choose between either 0 dB (neutral sound, upward position) or a -3 dB (damped
higher frequencies, downward position), based upon your own preference to treble level and the positioning
of speakers related to your listening space.
Bass level
By using the supplied bass plugs for the
bass reflex ports, you can alter the lower
boundary frequency of the speaker. You
can choose between three different settings.
To further optimize the sound, it is possible
to use the bass control switch, [W] (above
the speaker terminals), which allows you
to alter the bass sound characteristics. You
can choose between either +3 dB (upward
position) or 0 dB (Neutral, downward
position), based on your own preference to
bass level and the acoustics in your listening
room. In combination with the bass reflex
ports you can tune the bass characteristics
of the speaker in 6 (3 port- & 2 crossover
settings) different ways.
