Checking rear brake fluid
level
If the fluid level drops below the
MIN mark, assume there is a
defect in the brake system.
Have the brake system
checked immediately by a spe-
cialized workshop, preferably
an authorized BMW Motorrad
retailer.
• Make sure the ground is level
and firm and lift the motor-
cycle onto its main stand
• Check the brake fluid level in
the reservoir
MIN Minimum level
Without BMW Integral ABS the
brake fluid level in the brake flu-
id reservoir drops in the case of
brake pad wear. With BMW In-
OE
tegral ABS the brake fluid
level remains constant.
