Termination Instructions:
1. Strip a minimum of 1 inch of jacket
from the end of the F/UTP cable,
pull the foil or braided shield back over
the jacket as shown (in Fig 1) and wrap
the drain wire around the shield. For

twisted pair over the jacket and wrap
the drain wire around the shield.
Note: Insulation displacement connector
(IDC) is suitable for 22-26 AWG solid wire.
2. Insert the wires from the stripped cable
into the stuffer cap through the hole
as shown.
3. Insert the wires into their correct
positions per the desired wiring scheme.
4. Cut the excess wire off as close to the
edge of the cap as possible, tips of the
wires should not protrude more
than 1/32 of an inch.
5. Make sure that arrows on both connector
and cap point in the same direction.
6. Align the cap with the IDC towers and
press into position.
7. Rotate the wings toward each other
until they snap closed.
8. Ensure that the drain wire is wrapped
around the cable and shield.

Do not over tighten the tie wrap! It
should be snug, but not so tight that
it crushes the wires.
