a. Check the engine warning lamp while the engine check
switch is turned on.
b. The engine warning lamp pauses after flickering as much
as the first digit of the fault code, and then flicker as much
as the second digit of the fault code. For example, if the
fault code is "21" , the engine warning lamp flickers twice
(First digit "2" ), pauses for 1 second, and flickers once
(Second digit "1" ). The cycle is repeated for a fault code
for clearer indication.
c. If there are 2 or more fault codes, the first fault code is
indicated 3 times, and the next fault code is indicated after
a 3 second pause. As mentioned above, every fault code
is repeatedly indicated 3 times.
d. The following is an example of indicating the fault codes
when the fault codes #13 and #22 have occurred
simultaneously.
- Engine stop & starting key-on.
- The lamp flickers once with an interval of 1 second,
flickers 3 times after 1 second, and repeats this sequence
3 times : Indication of Fault Code 13 Completed.
- The lamp flickers twice with an interval of 1 second,
flickers twice after 1 second, and repeats this sequence 3
times : Indication of Fault Code 22 Completed.
- After flickering one sequence, there is a 3 second pause.
- The fault code continues to flicker repeatedly until the
inspection process completes.
