Troubleshooting
t The tape has reached its end. Insert a new tape and press SYNCHRO
REC again.
t The connected equipment was not turned off.
Turn off the connected equipment and press SYNCHRO REC again.
t There was a power failure. Press SYNCHRO REC again.
t If the settings for timer recordings and Synchronized Recording
overlap, the programme that starts first has priority and the second
programme starts recording only after the first programme has
finished.
t There was a power failure. Press SYNCHRO REC again.
t Make sure you are pointing the remote commander at the remote
sensor on the VCR.
t Replace all of the batteries in the remote commander with new ones if
they are weak.
t Make sure the TV/VIDEO remote control switch is set correctly.
t Set your TV's code number. The code number may change when you
replace the batteries for the remote commander (see page 8).
t Clean the cabinet, panel and controls with a dry, soft cloth, or a soft
cloth slightly moistened with a mild detergent solution. Do not use
any type of solvent, such as alcohol or benzene.
t The clock stops if the VCR is disconnected from the mains for more
than one hour. Reset the clock and timer if needed (see page 19).
t Connect the mains lead to the mains securely.
t Moisture condensation has occurred. Turn the power off, unplug the
mains lead and leave the VCR to dry for over three hours.
t You have set a timer recording, but the tape on which you want to
record is protected. Use another tape or replace the safety tab.
t The VCR is in power save mode. Set the POWER SAVE option to
OFF in the OTHER OPTIONS menu (see page 75).
