Mechanical installation

This chapter describes how to install the drive module mechanically without the clear
plastic shrouds. The shrouds are attached after the power cabling.
Examining the installation site
Examine the installation site:
•
The installation site is sufficiently ventilated or cooled to transfer away the drive

losses.
•
The ambient conditions of the drive meet the specifications.
•
The material onto which the drive module is mounted must be non-flammable and
strong enough to carry the weight of the module.
•
There is enough free space above the drive to enable cooling air flow, service and
maintenance.
•
The floor that the drive is installed on is of non-flammable material, as smooth as
possible, and strong enough to support the weight of the drive.
