Using the timer
Falling asleep to music
 Sleep Timer
You can set the system to turn off after a
certain time, so that you can fall asleep
to music.

Press SLEEP repeatedly to select
the time you want.
Setting the timer
 Play Timer/Rec Timer
You cannot activate both the Play Timer
and the Rec Timer at the same time.
Make sure you have set the clock (see
"Setting the clock" (page 24)).
Play Timer
You can wake up to music at a preset
time.
Rec Timer
You can record from a preset radio
station at a specified time.

Prepare the sound source.
For Play Timer:
You can select one of the following
music sources.
Disc: Load a disc.
USB: Connect an USB device.
Tuner: Tune in the preset station you
want.
Then press VOLUME +/ (or turn
VOLUME on the unit)
the volume.
For Rec Timer:
Tune in the preset radio station you
want.

Press TIMER MENU

Press  or  
select "PLAY SET?" or "REC SET?, "
then press ENTER
"ON" appears and the hour indication
flashes in the display.

