SCN60 Ice Maker-Descaling Process
Planned Maintenance:
Ice Machines require periodic maintenance to be able
to deliver like-new reliable performance.
Schedule:
Typically twice per year for scale removal and
sanitizing. At some sites the water supply to the ice
machine will contain significant quantities of minerals,
and that will result in a water system becoming
coated with these minerals, requiring more frequent
maintenance than twice per year.
1.
Press & release On/Off button (the green light will
blink for about a minute and the unit will shut off)
2. Remove all ice from the bin
3. Remove scoop and fold metal bar flush to bin wall
4. Remove back panel by loosening thumb screws,
lowering the panel and removing it through the front
5. Locate Reservoir, push tab, lift and remove cover
6. Push on/off lever up to shut off water
7. Pull Drain plug to drain system and return plug
8. Use a pair of scissors to cut about ½" off the end
of the squirt nozzle and add approximately half of the
