Recording a CD on an MD (continued)
Notes
• You cannot pause recording during High-Speed
CD-MD Synchro Recording.
• If the play mode is set to the Repeat or Shuffle Play,
it automatically switches to normal play at step 4 of
"Recording a CD on an MD".
• The following items are either inoperative or cannot
be used during High-Speed CD-MD Synchro
Recording:
— The Auto Cut Function
— The recording level specified in the Setup menu

Recording a tape on an MD

— TAPE-MD Synchro Recording

You can make an analogue recording of a tape
on an MD.
You can use TYPE I (normal) tape.

Load a recordable MD.

Load a tape you want to record.

Press SYNCHRO MODE repeatedly until
"TAPE-MD SYNC" appears.

Press ENTER/START.
"Press START" flashes.
The MD deck stands by for recording and
the tape deck pauses for play.
N appears for the top side, and n for the
bottom side. To play the side not indicated,
press x and remove the cassette to reverse
the tape side, then perform steps 3 and 4
again.

Press PLAY MODE/DIRECTION
repeatedly until g appears to play one
side or h (or j) to play both sides.

Press ENTER/START while "Press
START" flashes.
Recording starts.
When the recording is completed, the tape
deck and the MD deck stop automatically.
To stop recording
Press x.
Note
If the MD becomes full during recording, the tape
deck and the MD deck stop automatically.
