Turn –/+ to select the 2nd zone audio
source you want.
Each time you turn the button, the audio
source changes cyclically as follows:

The audio signals of the current input is output.

The audio signals of the last selected TUNER
function (AM/FM) is output.

Turn on the stereo amplifier in another
room or zone, then adjust the volume
level with the VOLUME control.
Tips
• Even when this receiver is turned off, the receiver in
the 2nd zone remains turned on. To turn off all
receivers, press ?/1 and AV ?/1 on the remote at
the same time (SYSTEM STANDBY).
• Only signals from components connected to the
analog input jacks are output through the 2ND ZONE
OUT jacks. No signals are output from components
connected to only the digital input jacks.
• When "SOURCE" is selected, the signals input to the
MULTI CH IN jacks are not output from the 2ND
ZONE OUT jacks even when MULTI CH IN is
selected. The analog audio signals of the current
input are output.

Using the surround back
speakers for the 2nd zone
Make sure that the surround back speakers
selection parameter is set to "ZONE-2"
(page 19).
Use the remote for the following operation.

Hold down RM SET UP and press ?/1.

Move the Easy scroll key (PUSH) to
select "2ND".

Press PUSH.
"2ND" appears in the remote display.

Move the Easy scroll key (PUSH) to
select the analog signals you want to
output (e.g. TUNER).

Press PUSH.
Your selection (e.g. ZONE-2 TUNER)
apppears in the display.

Press MASTER VOL +/– to adjust the
volume of your speakers in the 2nd
zone.
Tips
• Press ?/1 on the remote while "2ND" appears in the
remote display to turn off 2nd zone.
• To turn off the receiver, make sure that you select
"MAIN" in step 2 above. "2ND" disappears from the
remote display. Then, press ?/1 to turn off the
receiver.
• You can use MUTING on the remote to mute the
sound.
