Activating Your SIRIUS Subscription
You must activate SIR-ALP1 before
you can start to receive the SIRIUS
Satellite Radio broadcast.
1. Make sure that the SIR-ALP1 is
properly connected and that its
antenna is oriented to receive the
SIRIUS satellite signal.
2. Turn on the Alpine headunit.
3. Press and release the POWER/
SOURCE button on the head unit to
select SIRIUS as the source. (Each
press of the POWER/SOURCE
button will change to a different
audio source.)
4. The display may read "LOADING
until the SIR-ALP1 channel update is
completed.
NOTE: Don't push any buttons or
perform any operations until
updating has been completed.
Once updated and the SIRIUS
channels are received, the display
will change to "Call 1-888534SIRIUS
to Subscribe" and will place you in
SIRIUS Satellite Radio's Preview
information.

5. Use the UP/DN buttons to select to
Channel "255" on the diSDlaV

the Alpine headunit is set to
SCROLL the text -if not, you may
only see 8-characters of the code.

more information.)
Note: The SIRIUS-ID can also be
found on the sticker that is on the
bottom of the SIR-ALP1 and on the
carton box that the unit was packed in.
7 . Contact SIRIUS on the Internet:
httDs://activate.siriusradio.com
Follow the prompts to activate your
subscription. You can also call
SIRIUS toll-free at I-888-539-SIRIUS
(1 -888-539-7474).
Note: You will not be able to tune to
any other channels until you activate
your SIRIUS subscription.
8. When the subscription is activated or
updated, the word "UPDATING will
appear on the display. Note some
Alpine headunits will have different
messages- please consult your
headunit owners manual for more

you may now change to any actively
subscribed channels.

6. The unit will display "SIRIUS in the
Basic Operation
Category Name Field, "RADIO I D in
the Channel Field and the SIRIUS-
ID in the Artist and Song Fields of
the display

Sirius-ID (SID) in the location
provided on the next page for future
reference.
Note: You may have to press the
TITLE button on the Alpine headunit
to show the SIRIUS-ID. Be sure that
The SIR-ALP1 SIRIUS Satellite Radio
Tuner is compatible with any Alpine
headunit that is "SAT Ready"
