Starting the Engine
Place the scooter on its centre stand.

Turn the ignition switch to the (On) position.

Confirm the following:
• The PGM-FI malfunction indicator lamp
(MIL) is OFF.
• The high coolant temperature indicator is
OFF.

Lock the rear wheel by squeezing the rear

brake lever and setting the brake lock lever.
The starter motor will only work when the

brake lever is squeezed and the side stand
is up.
