Maintenance
1. Adjustment nut

Tighten the cable adjustment nut and engage the
park brake.

Check the park brake; repeat steps 5 through 7 if
necessary.
Motion Control Linkage
Adjustment
1.
Park the machine on a level surface.
2.
Shut off engine and wait for all moving parts to
stop.
3.
Push the control levers all the way forward to the
front reference bar.
If either of the control levers contact the
reference bar, allow the control levers to return
to neutral. Loosen the two jam nuts on the
RH hex adjustment linkage. Note that one
jam nut is a right-hand thread and the other is
left-hand. Turn the hex adjustment linkage until
the recommended gap is achieved. Retighten the
jam nuts. Repeat this step until there is 1/8-1/4
inch (3–6 mm) gap between the RH control lever
and the front reference bar. Once the gap is
achieved, proceed with step 4.

Allow the control levers to return to neutral.
Turn the LH hex adjustment link until the motion
control levers are approximately even with each
other.
5.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 for other motion control
linkage.
Motion Control Tracking
Adjustment
If the machine travels or pulls to one side when the
motion control levers are in the full forward position,
adjust the tracking.
1.
Push both control levers forward the same
distance.
2.
Check if the machine pulls to one side. If it does,
stop the machine and set the parking brake.
3.
Loosen the lock nuts on the RH motion control
linkage (as viewed from the rear of the machine.
Push the RH control lever forward and rotate the
adjustment rod until there is 1/8-1/4 inch (3–6
mm) gap between the RH control lever and the
front reference bar.

Control Bar in Operation. Place the front
reference/speed control bar in the maximum
forward position.
5.
Rotate the adjustment rod on the LH side of the
machine (as viewed from the rear of the machine
— see Figure 20).
