4.2 Equalization

When performing analog to digital conversion at very high sampling rate, using an equalization
improves the frequency response and compensates for signal distortion.
By default, the digital frequency equalization is disabled.
Two equalization modes can be selected:
The smooth roll off minimizes the overshoot and ringing. This mode is recommended for time
domain application.
The sharp roll off optimizes the frequency response flatness. This mode efficient for some fre-
quency domain applications such as spectrum monitoring.
It is also possible to implement a user custom equalization, depending on your application. To
proceed, please contact factory: support@acqiris.com. By default, Custom Equalization is
equivalent to Equalization Off.
The equalization option is supported for both digitizer (-DGT) and averager (-AVG) modes.
The figures below show the characteristics of each equalization mode.
