1. Introduction to the IDS1600

The is a versatile, state of the art, microprocessor based, sixteen zone alarm panel. Most features
IDS1600
are optional and may be programmed either directly through the keypad or via the telephone system, using
the IDS download software and appropriate modem. There are sixteen programmable burglary zones, a
panic zone and a tamper zone. There are 8 outputs which may be programmed to perform various trigger/
switching functions as well as siren, fire detector and strobe auxiliary power outputs.
