• Wait 5 - 10 minutes.
• Press the red "Reset" button on the base of the waste disposer.
• Re-connect the electrical supply.
• Run water through the waste disposer and start it up normally.

Troubleshooting

If you have any problems with your appliance you should check this
troubleshooting table prior to calling CDA Customer Care, to prevent
unnecessary service calls and potential cost.
You observe that
The disposer does not run.
The motor cannot be turned,
even with the hexagonal key.
The motor is turning but makes
metalic noises.
The motor attempts to run but
then stops.
Water flow is slow when off but
fast when turned on.
Water does not flow out freely in
the sink with disposer installed.
Due to the nature of the waste disposer no further maintenance or
cleaning should be attempted by the user. Always entrust this to a
suitably qualified service engineer or similar.

Possible Causes
Electrical power not reaching the
disposer.
The overload shutdown has
been activated.
PVC air tube not fully sealed.
The disposer is jammed by a
solid object.
The disposer is jammed by a
solid object.
The disposer is jammed by a soft
object (e.g. excessive food).
The disposer is installed in a
single sink.
The disposer is installed in a
double bowl sink.
What should you do?
Check the electrical cable is
plugged in.
Check the fuse and/or circuit
breaker protecting the circuit.
Press the red reset button on the
base of the unit.
Check the connections at both
ends of the PVC air tube.
Call CDA Customer Support for
assistance.
Call CDA Customer Support for
assistance.

This is normal.
Blocked waste pipe, take apart
and clean.
