To fit the battery into the Spear & Jackson S36GCBC charger:

1. Plug the charger into an appropriate outlet; the light will turn green.
2. Slide the battery pack into the charger; the light will turn red to show charging has started.
3. When the light turns green again, charging is complete. Unplug the charger and remove the battery pack.

    ASSEMBLY WARNING: Never operate the tool without the safety guard firmly in place. The guard must always be on the tool to protect the user. WARNING: When the tool is equipped with a trimmer head, the line cutter should be mounted onto the safety guard. Failure to comply will result in overly long cutting line and overload the motor.

  • Page 18 ASSEMBLY REPLACE THE TRIMMER HEAD WITH THE 3-TEETH BLADE (THE TRIMMER HEAD IS FIXED IN THE TOOL IN THE ORIGINAL PACKING ) Insert and keep the shaft lock rod into the hole of trimmer head and loosen the trimmer head by screwing it clockwise. Take away the trimmer head.
