Connecting to the
Internet
To browse the web and use mail, you must first connect the LocationFreeTV to the Internet. The
LocationFreeTV can be connected to the Internet through a cable TV line, or DSL line.
Necessary Equipment
Use the following table to determine the equipment and cables you need for your type of Internet
connection. After preparing the necessary items, go to the page number listed for your connection type
and follow the example to complete the connection.

* To access the Internet, you also need to contract with an Internet service provider (ISP).
* DSL modems that connect via a USB interface are not supported.
Note
You cannot connect the LocationFreeTV to the
Internet if your ISP
• prevents devices other than computers from

connecting to the Internet.

• requires you to install special software on devices

connecting to the Internet.

• requires you to configure settings that are not
available on the LocationFreeTV.
