4. Setting up the Spirit 710
The following section details how to set up your telephone.
Press the MENU button to enter the Options menu and then use
the UP or DOWN buttons to cycle through the following options:
SET LANGUAGE
SET TIME/DATE
SET FLASH TIME
LCD CONTRAST
MESSAGE LENGTH
RINGS TO ANSWER
REMOTE ACCESS
TAM HD: ON/OFF
set to OFF is up to 20 minutes.
EXIT OPTION

Note: The system will time out if you leave more than
10 seconds between key presses.

Set to ON is up to 8 minutes,
With the phone in standby mode;
Press MENU button.
The display shows OPTIONS MENU

Press UP button to go to the language setting.
The display shows SET LANGUAGE

Press MENU button to confirm.
Press UP or DOWN button to select ENGLISH
(default), FRANCAIS, or DEUTSCH .
Press MENU button to confirm.
Continue with programming, or press EXIT
button to return to standby mode.
Note: if you subscribe to the caller display service
(see section 9) the time and date will be set
automatically,but the year may still need to be
adjusted to ensure the answering machine time
stamp gives the correct day.
Press MENU button.
