The Binatone SPIRIT 221 may have no incoming or outgoing voice due to several possible reasons:

1. Volume Settings – The ringer or handset volume may be set too low. Adjust the ringer volume using the Hi/Low settings.
2. Connection Issues – Ensure the phone is properly connected to the telephone line and that the line itself is functional.
3. Mute Function – Check if the mute function is activated, preventing audio transmission.
4. Handset or Cord Issues – Inspect the handset and cord for any damage or loose connections.
5. Tone/Pulse Setting – Ensure the phone is set to the correct dialing mode (Tone or Pulse) as per the service provider's requirements.
6. Defective Unit – If all settings and connections are correct, the phone may be faulty and require repair or replacement.

Try troubleshooting these issues to restore voice communication.
