If the air conditioners are not providing proper cooling of the batteries, the condition
can reduce the life of the batteries . Overheating of the batteries could void any warranty
because of lack of proper maintenance of the PureWave UPS System enclosure . Contact
S&C Electric Company if air conditioner malfunction is suspected .
q To verify the heaters are working properly, check each heater to confirm they are still
producing heat. Operate the heaters by either jumping around the relay in the bay being
tested or by applying a jumper at the HVAC PLC.
q Verify the container temperature sensing via monitoring computer.
q Remove a thermocouple from the analog board and verify there is a broken thermocouple
warning on the monitoring computer and on the LCD screen.
q Verify (visually) the control relays are not damaged.
q Verify all fuses are in working order on the control panel.
q Verify the service outlets and lights are operational.

Departure
q Perform general housekeeping, making sure there is no garbage or debris in or around
each system enclosure and the PES and switchgear enclosure.
q Bring the PureWave UPS System back online.
q Record the system state: _______________________
q Close and lock all the enclosure doors and return site keys to the facility supervisor (if
applicable).
