Using the AZI65.1 insert, the RWI65.02 is able to communicate with an active bus user
(master, such as the VISONIK Building Process Station, BPS) via the Floor Level Net-
work (FLN) bus. The insert contains the electronic circuits required for communication.
The communication insert slides into its compartment in grooves. The compartment be-
comes accessible after opening the front door and removing the cover. Fitting the FLN
communication insert in the RWI65.02 requires no re-commissioning but only setting of
the address, which is needed for the exchange of data in the network.
For more information, please refer to data sheet CM2N3206E, «FLN Communication
Insert».
80 % of the plastic materials used can be recycled. The controller has a super capacitor
in place of NiCd batteries which need to be replaced every two years - to enhance
operating safety and environmental protection.
The operating voltage required for the controller is AC 24 V. The transformer used must
be suitable for safety extra low voltage (SELV), 100 % duty, and must have separate
windings.
Fuses, switches, wiring and earthing must be in compliance with the local safety regula-
tions.
The limitations cannot be used as safety functions. These always require separate
safety devices.
All important variables that are required for commissioning - if known at the time of
planning - are to be shown on the plant documentation (connection diagram, etc.).
For additional information on the RWI65.02, please refer to the Reference Manual, or-
dering no. CM2Z3204E. It contains application examples, detailed function descriptions,
a data point list for commissioning, notes on safety, and so on.
The controller is designed for wall mounting (in an open space or inside a control panel)
or flush panel mounting (control panel front, console, etc.). The permissible ambient
conditions must be observed. First, the base is to be mounted and wired up. The cables
inside the base must be accommodated such that the insert can be easily fitted.
Secure fixing screws only after commissioning. The controller is supplied complete with
mounting instructions.
For commissioning, the Reference Manual, ordering no. CM2Z3204E, is required.
When commissioning the plant, all functions of the controller and of the communication
insert (if present) and the wiring of the connected units must be checked.
