Setup
Step 1 - add Akurate Kontrol to network
1.1 Connect the Akurate Kontrol as shown overleaf and
power the unit on using the switch (front-right underside)
1.2 The Akurate Kontrol should display a flashing blue dot for
several seconds before changing to a Linn logo
1.3 Press the Sleep button to come out of sleep mode - if you have a large X dis-
played on the front panel then there is no active network connection and you
cannot complete the remaining Setup tasks

Step 2 - run Konfig
2.1 Install Linn Konfig on your computer from www.linn.co.uk/konfig
2.2 Launch Konfig and confirm that your Akurate Kontrol is visible
2.3 Konfig will also display any Linn DS players connected to the network and any
media servers or other Linn devices you have connected - if you can't see these
devices in Konfig then you will be unable to access or control them later
2.4 Ensure all devices physically connected together (e.g. Akurate DS and Akurate
Kontrol) are assigned to the same room (edit Room Name from the Configuration
tab for each device) and share the same device (Device Name on the DS player
should match Source Name on the pre-amplifier)
2.5 Select your Akurate Kontrol within Konfig and choose the Configuration tab to be-
gin configuring your sources, including renaming them, changing volume settings
and defining a startup source (select Help from Konfig for more info)

Step 3 - play music
3.1 Ensure all connected sources are powered on and play music on each one to
confirm correct setup, using Source -/+ to change sources on your front panel or
remote control handset
3.2 If you have a Linn DS player, you should confirm you can play music and change
volume and source using your preferred control software (e.g. KinskyDesktop) - if
you can select and play music but the volume control is disabled, check step 2.4

Operation
You can change sources or volume using either the front panel or infra-red (IR) remote
handset provided with the Akurate Kontrol (you can also change sources and volume using
compatible control software (e.g. KinskyDesktop) if the Akurate Kontrol is connected to the
network i.e. for operation with a Linn DS player).
Simply connect headphones to the front panel socket for discreet listening (the output to
power amplifiers will automatically mute).
Simply connect a mobile device via the AuX front panel socket and the source will auto-
matically change to Front Aux (ideal for quickly connecting mobile music players).
