Izzo H340
The identification label is attached to the backside of the
commode.

The Commode listed has a weight limitation of 113 kg.
– Consult a qualified technician if assistance is required in
selecting the appropriate Invacare® commode for you.
3 Setup and usage
3.1 Installing the pail (Fig. 3)
1. Install the pail A onto the pail holder B in the commode frame C.
2. Turn the pail so the tabs D keep the pail on the pail holder.
3.2 Installing/Removing the commode seat and
lid (Fig. 4)
CAUTION!
Risk of product damage
Cold seat clamps may break when removing/installed
onto commode back frame rail.
– Before removing/installing seat and lid, allow seat/ring
to reach room temperature if exposed to cold.
– Always remove the lid before removing the seat.
– Pull up on the back corner of the lid or seat when
removing.
1. Align the seat clamps A of the toilet seat B onto the back frame
rail C.
2. Push down on the seat until it clamps firmly into place.
Repeat steps 1-2 to install the lid D.

4. Reverse steps 1-3 to remove the lid and seat.
3.3 Installing the backtube (Fig. 5)
Press in and hold both snap buttons A on the backtube B.

2. While holding the snap buttons, insert both backtube endings into
the frame tube supporters C.
3. Push both backtube endings in until the snap buttons are fully
engaged into both holes in the frame tube. There will be an
audible click.
3.4 Adjusting the leg height (Fig. 6)
1. Align the snap button A of each leg frame B with the appropriate
adjustment hole C in the leg extension D.
Make certain that the snap buttons are fully engaged E into the

adjustment hole of each leg extension. There will be an audible

3. Make sure all leg extensions are at the same height before using.
3.5 Operating the drop arms (Fig. 7)
Press and hold the button A on the armrest B.

2. While holding the button, move the armrest all the way up or
down.
3. Let go of the button and make sure armrests are locked in
position.
4 Maintenance
4.1 Cleaning and lubrication
Cleaning
CAUTION!
Risk of product damage.
– Do not use an abrasive detergent, cleaner or cloth to
clean or dry the commode.
– Regular cleaning and inspection is recommended.

Lubrication
To make raising or lowering the seat/lid easier, you may lubricate the
commode back frame rail with a very small amount of petroleum jelly
or furniture polish.

5 After Use

5.1 Re-use
The product is suitable for repeated use. The number of times it can
be used depends on how often and in which way the product is used.
Before reuse, clean the product thoroughly
(® 4.1 Cleaning and lubrication, page 4 ), check the safety functions
and reset if necessary.
WARNING!
Risk of Injury
– Always have a authorized dealer inspect the product
for damage before transferring the product to a
different user. If any damage is found, Do not use the
product. Otherwise injury may occur.
5.2 Disposal
The disposal and recycling of used devices and packaging must comply
with the applicable local legal regulations.
