When you cannot use the fl ash or set the
shutter speed slower, increase the ISO
rating. The higher rated ISO setting helps
maximize the effect of the surrounding
light to shoot.

 Shooting with shutter speed

When shooting a moving person or
subject, set the shutter speed higher to
freeze the motion or set the shutter speed
slower to get the fl ow of motion of the
subject. Adjust the shutter speed to express
moment that is beyond what the human
eye can see.

afterglow of the sunset
 Adjusting color tones (page 73)
If the image you shot is not expressed
in your desired colors, change the white
balance mode. Setting the white balance
mode to
(Daylight) enhances the
redness of the sunset.
