Recommended Camera settings for OnShot360™
After Attaching the OneShot360 unit, and powering the camera on, turn the Mode
Dial to A:
• ZOOM: Use the Zoom to exactly fill the digital camera LCD viewer screen
with the circular image. Use the zoom on the back of the camera to do
this. If you zoom in too much, you will lose part of the field of view. If you
zoom in too little, you will not get maximum resolution. Note also that the
OneShot image may not be exactly centered in the LCD screen – this is
normal.
• FLASH: Disable the flash by pressing the flash icon (lightening bolt
symbol) of the control button until you see the "flash off" icon on the LCD.
• Aperture: Make sure your Sony DSC-V1 is in Aperture Priority Mode by
turning the Mode Dial to A. Then adjust the jog dial until you see an f-stop
setting of 7.1. Press in the jog dial to lock this value.
• Focus: To focus your OneShot image with the Sony DSC-V1 camera,
press the focus button until you see the icon for manual focus (pointing
finger). Adjust the jog dial until the desired distance is shown on the LCD
screen. We recommend a setting of 1 meter. Press the jog dial to lock
this value.
• Image Size: Press the Image Size button (same as Delete Image Button)
found below the Control Button. Set the Image Size to 5.0M (2592 X
1944).
Note: Aperture priority mode may not be suitable for low light for some indoor
shooting conditions. The camera will not allow a shutter speed slower than 1/30
of a second in this mode. This would mean the image would not be properly
exposed if using a small aperture. To work around this limitation, use shutter
priority mode, and a shutter speed that would give you the desires f#. Also, make
sure you are using a tripod when shooting with a slow shutter speed.
Press the MENU button and use arrow buttons to set:
• White Balance: (WB) Auto is usually fine for most shots.
• ISO Setting: RemoteReality recommends using an ISO sensitivity of 100
for all shots.
• Picture Quality: Set the Picture Quality to FINE.
