• Before attempting any maintenance, always switch the unit off and
disconnect it from the mains power supply.
• Do not open the air conditioner and attempt to repair the unit yourself.
Any repairs must be carried out by a qualified technician.
Troubleshooting
If your air conditioner fails to operate, or you experience any other problem with
the appliance, contact our after sales centre for advice. Before you call for a
service, please ensure that the appliance is properly plugged in and the outlet
and circuit breaker or fuse are working properly.

CAUTION!
Potential cause and solution
Check and ensure you have switched on the power, both at
the outlet and on the unit.
The control board may be damaged — call for service.
The voltage is higher or lower than the required voltage
range — call for service.
The timer function is activated. Cancel the timer.
The remote control is too far from the unit, or there are ob-
stacles in its path. Move closer and remove any obstacles.
The remote control batteries may be flat — insert new ones.
With varying temperatures, parts of the unit expand and
contract, which can make a noise — this is not a problem
and no cause for concern.
Check and ensure that the air filter is clean.
Check and ensure the air filter is clean and correctly installed.
If the unit is exposed to direct sunlight (full sunshine), its
cooling efficiency will be reduced.
Check and ensure that all air intake and outlet grilles are
clean and free of obstructions. For best performance,
there should be a clear space of 500mm behind the back
of the unit.
Ensure you have closed all doors and windows, and there
are no other sources of heat in the room to be cooled.
Ensure the unit is set to cooling mode.
Ensure the air outlet grilles are fully opened.
