Lay the NVR on the table, top up. Verify that the SATA and power connector on the HDD is fully seated on the PC board connector.

Reinstall the NVR cover.
N32 HDD installation
The chassis is designed to accommodate up to four 3.5 inch HDDs with a capacity up to 8TB each. HDDs you install should be formatted
before use using the NVR's embedded firmware.
To install an HDD:
1.
Disconnect all cables attached to the NVR.
2.
Lay the NVR on a clean, flat table, and then remove the three cover screws on the backpanel (see below).
3.
Slide the cover toward the backpanel, then lift it off the NVR chassis.
The NVR shown below has one HDD installed in the right bay. Each bay supports up to two HDDs. Note that four SATA data cables and
four power cables are attached to PC board.

To install an HDD in a bay:
a.
Remove the screws for the two HDD brackets in the bay. If one HDD is already installed in the disconnect the cables from the
HDD.
b.
Remove the HDD brackets from the bay.
c.
Attach the HDD(s) to the HDD brackets as shown in the picture below. Use two screws (special screws provided) on each side
of an HDD.

Reinstall the HDD brackets with the HDD(s) into the bay with the HDD connectors toward the center of the chassis. Use the
bracket screws removed earlier.
