NetWare 3.x/4.x/5.x Installation & Setup
Once your print server is connected to your Ethernet network, you can set it
up for us e with your networking software.
There are two methods you can
us e to do this easily:
Pleas e note that, you need install the IPX protocol before the following
procedure,
1. On DOS environment or DOS box of Windows , us e the "INSTALL" quick-
ins tallation program found on the <CD-ROM Drive>\DOSUTIL of CD-ROM
inc luded with the print server.

On DOS environment or DOS box of Windows , use the "PSETUP "
configuration program found on the inc luded <CD-ROM Drive> \DOSUTIL,
configure the print s erver to use a particular file server. Then, use NetWare 's
PCONSOLE program to create a NetWare print server and print queue with
the appropriate names.
5.2.1

Quick Installation Using "Install" program

The INSTALL program inc luded on the CD-ROM can be us ed to quickly set up
the print server for use on the NetWare environment. It can only be used to
set up the print server as Printer Server mode; it cannot be used to c onfigure
the print server as Remote Printer mode. It handles changing the print
server's internal settings, the creation of NetWare print server and print
queue objec ts on the file s erver, and the ass ignment of the print server to the
queue.
Unless you need to configure the NetWare settings to conform to
special requirements for your network, you can use the quick installation
method.
To use this method,
1. Log into your NetWare server as SUPERVISOR.
2.
Ins ert the CD-ROM inc luded with the print s erver, and c hange to the
appropriate drive and direc tory. Ex. e:\dosutil\
3. Run the INSTALL program
