Removing the RTM from the system while the payload of the front blade is powered up may damage the front blade and RTM. The cabling should follow existing cable paths using existing or similar cable fastenings. Never change the system's cabling as delivered by Artesyn. Chapter 1 Introduction The Artesyn Embedded Technologies Centellis™ 2100 platform core is a high availability platform ideally suited for data intensive, central office, and enterprise networking applications. The low profile makes the Centellis 2100 the optimal candidate for distributed networking functions, low density subscriber areas, or specialized applications.

: Fabric interface configurations support 1G, 10G and 40G operation 1.2.2.1 Node slots The backplane in Centellis 2100 Shelf Release 3.0 shelf provides two node slots, oriented horizontally in the lower and upper part of the shelf. They are accessible from the front of the shelf.
The node slots can be connected to rear transition modules (RTM) to provide easy access to I/O signals through the zone 3 connector defined by the AdvancedTCA specification. The Artesyn RTMs can be used as rear expansion boards for node blades to access the different interfaces on an AdvancedTCA blade through the RTM faceplate.

When installing and using optical SFP/SFP+ modules which are classified as laser products, make sure to comply to the respective regulations. The system is compliant to NEBS and ETSI acoustic noise emission standards, if the system is equipped with Artesyn blades and with properly designed and configured third party blades. In a system thus configured, the fans will settle at approximately 10%-20% speed at an ambient temperature of 23 °C (+/- 2 °C) (73.4 °F +/- 3.6 °F) under normal operating conditions.
