Changing the MENU settings
To make the MENU display disappear
Press MENU.
Menu items are displayed as the following
five or six icons:
CAMERA SET
PLAYER SET
VF SET (CCD-TR950E only)
TAPE SET
SETUP MENU
OTHERS
Depending on your camcorder model
The MENU display may be different from that in
this illustration.

Selecting the mode setting of each item

Menu items differ according to whether the POWER switch is set to PLAYER or CAMERA.

Notes on the SteadyShot function
•The SteadyShot function will not correct excessive camera-shake.
•Attachment of a conversion lens (not supplied) may influence the SteadyShot function.
•SteadyShot does not operate in the 16:9FULL mode. If you set STEADYSHOT to ON in the MENU
settings, the indicator flashes.
Meaning
To activate digital zoom. More than 20 to 80 (360
in some areas) zoom is performed digitally (p. 22)
OFF To prevent the deterioration of the picture quality

CINEMA To record in the CINEMA mode (p. 37)
16:9FULL To record in the 16:9FULL mode
To compensate for camera-shake
OFF To cancel the SteadyShot function. Natural pictures
are produced when shooting a stationary object with a
tripod.
To use the NightShot Light function (p. 25)
OFF To cancel the NightShot Light function

ON To reduce wind noise when recording in strong wind
To activate the normal photo function
FADE To activate the fade photo function
SHUTTER To activate the shutter photo function
