  • Page 6 GETTING TO KNOW YOUR LOG SPLITTER & OPERATING GUIDELINES Getting to Know your Log Splitter Before attempting to use the log splitter, it is recommended to familiarize yourself with all the controls, operating features and safety requirements of your log splitter. 1.

    OPERATION OPERATION Safe Operating Zone Warning! When operating this log splitter, it is highly important to make sure you are standing in the safe operating zone when ever the ram is in motion. The safe operating zone is located next to the log splitter as shown in Fig.7. Splitting logs guideline Warning! Never attempt to split a log which is longer than 21”.

    MAINTENANCE Maintenance Intervals The following maintenance interval should be followed to ensure best performance and long life of your log splitter. Before each use: 1) Check condition of log splitter. 2) Perform bed maintenance/cleaning. 3) Check drive belt tension and/or condition. 4) Check condition of power cord.
  • Page 10 MAINTENANCE Replacing/Tensioning the Drive Belt 1) Disassemble the two protective side guards (A) Fig.11 by removing the 6 self tapping screws (B) and 2 hex. bolts (C) on each side. 2) Remove the engagement lever (D) Fig.11 and the safety lever knob (E), now remove the top cover (F) to completely expose the internal parts of the log splitter.
