GETTING TO KNOW YOUR LOG SPLITTER & OPERATING GUIDELINES Getting to Know your Log Splitter Before attempting to use the log splitter, it is recommended to familiarize yourself with all the controls, operating features and safety requirements of your log splitter. 1.
ASSEMBLY & OPERATION Warning! For your own safety, do not connect the log splitter to the power source until the machine is completely assembled and you have read and understood the entire instruction manual. Warning! Never use the log splitter if it is not in perfect order or if it needs servicing.
OPERATION Splitting a Log This log splitter is equipped with a control system that requires both hands of the user to be operated. The left hand controls the hydraulic control lever while the right hand controls the momentary push button switch. First push the momentary push button switch (A) Fig.7 to start the motor, then lower the hydraulic control lever (B) to engage the hydraulic pusher, see Fig.7.
MAINTENANCE Checking Hydraulic Oil Level 1) Make sure the power cord is unplug from the power source. 2) Make sure the bleed screw (A) Fig.9 is tightened (closed). 3) Position the log splitter as shown in Fig.9. 4) Loosen and remove the drain bolt/dipstick assembly (B). 5) Wipe the oil off the dipstick, reinsert the drain bolt/dipstick assembly and then pull it out again.
