Definitions: Safety Guidelines
The definitions below describe the level of severity for each signal word. Please read the manual and pay attention to these symbols.
DANGER: Indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.
WARNING: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury.
NOTICE: Indicates a practice not related to personal injury which, if not avoided, may result in property damage.
WARNING: FIRE BURN, INHALATION, AND EXPLOSION HAZARD.
KEEP SOLID COMBUSTIBLES, SUCH AS BUILDING MATERIALS, PAPER,
OR CARDBOARD, A SAFE DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE HEATER AS
RECOMMENDED BY THE INSTRUCTIONS. NEVER USE THE HEATER
IN SPACES WHICH DO OR MAY CONTAIN VOLATILE OR AIRBORNE
COMBUSTIBLES, OR PRODUCTS SUCH AS GASOLINE, SOLVENTS,
PAINT THINNER, DUST PARTICLES OR UNKNOWN CHEMICALS.

WARNINGS
This is an unvented gas-fired portable heater. It uses air (oxygen) from the area
in which it is used. Adequate combustion and ventilation air must be provided.

USING A PORTABLE HEATER IN AN ENCLOSED AREA CAN PRODUCE
DEADLY CARBON MONOXIDE.
The heater is designed and approved for use as a construction heater in
accordance with Standard ANSI Z83.7 • CSA 2.14. CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL
FIRE SAFETY AUTHORITY IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT APPLICATIONS.
