    Drive handling IMPORTANT: Drives are fragile components that must be handled with care. To prevent damage to the computer, damage to a drive, or loss of information, observe these precautions: Before removing or inserting a hard drive, shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.

If it necessary to remove the bracket from the rear of the optical drive, remove the Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screw (1), and the remove the bracket from the drive (2). Remove the display assembly subcomponents: To remove the hinge cover, pull upward near the hinge to disengage it from the display enclosure (1), and then remove the hinge cover from the display enclosure (2). Align the cover, and then start from above and rotate the cover downward onto the hinges. Make sure the clips snap into place along the bottom of the display cover.
  • Page 74 Remove the bezel (5). The display bezel is available using spare part number L20421-001 for standard bezels and L32367-001 for Real Tree bezels. If it is necessary to replace the camera/microphone module: Detach the module (1) from the display back cover. (The module is attached with double- sided adhesive.) Disconnect the cable (2) from the camera/microphone module.
  • Page 75 If it is necessary to replace the display panel: IMPORTANT: HD panels are secured to the display enclosure with screws. FHD panels are secured with tape. HD panels: Remove the four Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screws that secure the panel to the display enclosure. FHD panels: Pull the tape out from behind the left and right sides of the panel.
