Installation must conform with local building codes or in the absence of local building codes, with the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSIZ223.1/NFPA 54 - Current Edition, or the Natural or Propane Installation Code, CSAB149.1 A.

When using a hearth, adjust rough opening size as necessary to maintain at least minimum clearance requirements. CAUTION: Install fi replace on metal, concrete or hard wood surface extending the full width and depth of fi replace. Due to the size and sensitivity of shipping the glass separately, it is best to have the replacement glass cut locally if needed. Have your local dealer assist you with contacting Stellar Hearth Products directly to get the proper glass specifi cations.
6 - GLASS FRAME ASSEMBLY Refer to Glass Frame Assembly Identifi cation Figures 6A & 6B.1 (Page 14) when installing and removing the glass frame assembly. B. INSTALL GLASS FRAME ASSEMBLY IMPORTANT: PLASTIC GLASS EDGE PROTECTORS The fi replace is shipped with plastic edge protectors that are u-shaped channel pieces wrapped separately, and shipped on top of the glass foam packaging.
NOTE: The appliance must be isolated from the gas supply piping system by closing its individual manual shut-off valve during any pressure testing of the gas line at test pressures equal to or less than ½ psi (3.5 kPa). NOTE: For high altitude installations, consult Stellar Hearth Products directly for proper rating methods. GAS LINE CONNECTION...
An in-line power vent (RSIF series from Enervex) is approved for use with Stellar fi replaces. The in-line powervent must be specifi ed and approved for use by Stellar Hearth. Vent runs after the in-line powervent may use a pressure approved pipe, but it is not required.
8 - VENTING D. IN-LINE POWERVENT PREPARATIONS (RSIF 180) 10" B-Vent Intake Collar - RSIF 180 When installing a fi replace in conjunction with the Enervex RSIF In-Line Powervent System, you will need to attach the provided 10" B-vent collar RSIF (packaged separately from the Enervex powervent box) to the intake side of the RSIF powervent (side opposite from the fan motor).

You must plan for the replacement air that is consumed fromt the room by the fi replace fi replace. GAS & ELECTRIC ACCESS OPTIONS Flat covers cover the gas and electrical access area in four locations on the outside of the fi replace; front, left side, rear and bottom on the pilot side of the fi replace. You also have access from inside the fi replace. It is important when planning how you are going to fi nish off the fi replace and take in consideration which access point you are going to use for any service at a later date.

When fi replace is fi rst lit, the fl ames will be blue. Flames will gradually turn yellowish-orange during fi rst 15 minutes of operation. If fl ames remain blue, or become dark orange with evidence of sooting (black tips), the burner tube venturi may need adjustment. Contact Stellar Hearth.
Do not operate this fi replace with glass/frame assembly removed, cracked or broken. • The glass assembly shall only be replaced as a complete unit, as supplied by Stellar Hearth Products. • Replacement of glass & frame assembly, must only be performed by a licensed or qualifi ed service person.
