Installation and Operation Manual—Models IGL26 & IGL26-LP
The Images Gas Log Set can be used in a wood burning masonry or zero-clearance (pre-manufactured) fireplace,
with or without glass doors.
NOTE: It is recommended that glass doors be used in conjunction with this unit to maximize your efficiencies.
NOTE: We recommend that you check with your local building code official be-
fore you begin installation to ensure compliance with local codes, including the
need for permits and follow-up inspections.
WARNING
If the information in this manual is not
followed exactly, a fire or explosion may re-
sult causing property damage, personal in-
jury or loss of life.
Do not store or use gasoline of other flam-
mable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of
this or any other appliance.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS:

Open a window.

Do not try to light appliance.

Do not touch any electrical switch; do not
use any phone in your building.

Immediately call you gas supplier from a
neighbor's phone. Follow the gas sup-
plier's instructions.

If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call
the fire department.
Installation and service must be per-
formed by qualified installer, service
agency or the gas supplier.

IMPORTANT: To comply with certifica-
tion, listings, and building code accep-
tance, and for safe operation and proper
performance, ONLY STELLAR HEARTH
parts and accessories may be used with
this gas log set.
This gas log set is to be installed only in a
solid-fuel burning fireplace with a working
flue constructed of non-combustible material.
Solid fuels shall not be burned in a fireplace
where this gas log set in installed. The in-
stallation, including provisions for combus-
tion, ventilation air, and required minimum
permanent vent opening, must conform with
the National Fuel Gas Code (Z223.1) and
applicable local building codes. A damper
stop clamp is included to maintain the mini-
mum permanent vent opening and to prevent
full
closure

    Stellar Hearth Products 4 - FIREPLACE REQUIREMENTS FIREPLACE REQUIREMENTS The Images Gas Log Set must only be installed in a fully vented, non-combustible fireplace with an open damper. The chimney must be free of any obstructions. The fireplace must be designed and approved to burn wood.

    Stellar Hearth Products 5C - Install Provided Damper Clamp The provided damper clamp must be installed to ensure a minimum opening to the flue and prevent an accidental closing of the damper. When the gas log set is operating, the damper must be fully opened.

    Stellar Hearth Products 10 - MAINTENANCE When installed correctly to the factory specifications, the Images insert requires little maintenance. A simple an- nual inspection prior to each burning season should be done to check for the following issues: 1. Glass Log Placement: The glass logs are designed to be set upright into the provided slots on the insert’s sur- face, and interlocking with each other where described earlier in the manual.
