Menu functions
Band selection
(Menu 9.8.5)
For the phone to make and receive phone calls, it
must register with an available network. Your phone
can handle any of the following types of networks:
GSM 1900 and Combined GSM 900/1800.
The country where you purchased your phone
determines the default band that it uses. When you
travel abroad, you may need to change to an
appropriate band.
Connections
(Menu 9.8.6)
You can set up information about your network
connection. In most cases, you don't need to change
the settings. In case of problems, please contact your
service provider.
Adding a connection profile
Press <Options> and select Add new connection.
The following options are available:
Profile name: enter the profile name.
Home URL: enter your homepage address.
Proxy: select to set the phone to use the proxy
server.

IP address/Port: set the proxy server address
and port.
Linger time: set a time period after which the
network is disconnected if there has been no new
data traffic in that time.
Bearer: select a bearer type, GPRS or GSM.
Advanced settings: provide you with the
following options:
APN: (for GPRS) enter the access point name.
Dial number: (for GSM) enter the PPP server
phone number.
Login ID: enter the user ID.
Password: enter the user password.
Data call type: (for GSM) select a data call type.
Managing browser profiles
On the list of connection profiles, scroll to a profile and
press <Options> to access the following options:
Edit: edit the selected connection.
Delete: delete the selected connection.
