Introduction

This chapter describes the features of the software which are specific to the disper-
sion unit. It covers:

Making a measurement

Making a measurement using the Hydro 2000S and Hydro 2000G is fully docu-
mented in Chapter 4 of the Mastersizer 2000 User Manual. Refer to that man-
ual for details.
The dispersion unit can either be controlled manually or automatically by running
an SOP. The system automatically detects which dispersion unit and cell is con-
nected. If more than one dispersion unit is connected, the system detects all disper-
sion units connected, but only the dispersion unit that has its cell installed on the
optical bench will be "active".
