    Installing Bullhorn Tools Bullhorn Tools is the software used to configure an RM4200 Series unit for service. Bullhorn Tools can also be used to view unit information and to create settings templates, which can be used to configure multiple similar units.
  • Page 13 Navigate to the location of the Bullhorn Tools file and double-click the Bullhorn Tools executable file (BullhornTools.exe) to begin the installation. The latest version of Bullhorn Tools that is available on the Help site will have the current version number in the file name.

    RM4200 Series User Guide Installing the RM4210 Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) can damage electronic components. Provide ESD protection by MPORTANT wearing an anti-static wrist strap attached to any unpainted metal surface before accessing the unit or handling electronic parts. If an anti-static wrist strap is unavailable, discharge static electricity from yourself and your clothing by touching a nearby metal surface before accessing the unit or handling electronic components.

    Before completing the final installation, you can ensure that the RM4210 has adequate satellite signal to communicate with the Bullhorn Web account using Bullhorn Tools. If reception is minimal, the unit may not be able to send information to the website. The Radio SNR reading should be at least 40 dB for a stable communication link with the satellite.

    The unit will stop waiting to pair (light flashing) after 10 minutes. It is not necessary to swipe the activation point again unless you wish to de-activate the Bluetooth connection immediately. After the unit has been activated, open Bullhorn Tools. Double-click the Bullhorn Tools program icon on the desktop or open from the Start menu.

    If a template is available for the unit type you plan to configure, you can apply the template to the current unit. You can also import a saved template to Bullhorn Tools and then apply it to the current unit.

    The transmission schedule determines when and how often the measurements (stored in a data log) are transmitted to your Bullhorn Web account. However, measurements will also be sent to your account before the data log exceeds the memory limit allowed on the unit.

The data log will be transmitted to your Bullhorn Web account during the scheduled transmission time. You can create two different measurement schedules that can be applied individually or together for any Reading.

    Optional Installations The RM4210 units can be installed along with optional components, such as an AC/DC power supply or a selectable current transducer, or installed on an adjustable mounting base (refer to Using the Adjustable Mounting Base).
