GENERATORS FOR PARALLEL USE NEED TO BE 'LIKE' FOR 'LIKE'.
EG. EF2000IS WITH EF2000IS OR EF2400IS WITH EF2400IS ONLY.
PROCEDURE
STARTING
1. Have two Yamaha EF2000iS or two Yamaha EF2400iS
generators available.
BUTTONS
Turn off both generators (engines) and unplug all
cables of electrical devices connected to the sockets
if connected.
2. Securely plug the connector plugs 2 of the parallel
cable set 1 into the connector sockets 3 located on the
control panel of each generator.
3. Connect the ground connection terminals 4 of the
parallel cable set to the ground terminals 5 of each of
the two generators.
BUTTONS
Always make sure to ground (earth) the frame of one
of the generators if the electrical device being used is
grounded 6.
4. Start both generators (engines) and confirm that
both generators started. The procedure for starting
the generators is the same as the normal starting
procedure (Refer to the section on "STARTING THE
ENGINE" of the generator owner's manual provided
with the EF2000iS or EF2400iS.)
NOTE:
At this time, although the output indicator lamp of the other generator that is
not started will light when one of the generators is started, the engine will not start.
Always make sure to start the generators one at a time and confirm that both generators
are running properly by observing the engine noise and exhaust noise.
5. Securely plug the special plug 7 of the electrical device into the socket 8 of the parallel
cables set and then turn on the power of the electrical device.
NOTE:
Refer to the generator owner's manual provided with the EF2000iS or EF2400iS
for information on the rated output of the sockets of the parallel cable set during
parallel running. Do not exceed the rated output.
1. Turn off the power of the electrical device and then unplug the cable (special plug) from
the sockets.
2. Turn off both generators and then disconnect the parallel cable set from the two
generators.

STOPPING
WARNING
During the parallel operation, only use the output from the socket of the
parallel cable set. Do not use the socket on the generator control panel.
Never connect to an electrical line from a power company.
The Yamaha genuine EF2000iS and EF2400iS special-purpose parallel
cable set can only be used for parallel operation of two Yamaha
EF2000iS or two Yamaha EF2400iS. It cannot be used for parallel
operation of three or more generators. Nor can it be used to connect an
EF2000iS to an EF2400iS and vice-versa.
EF2000iS or EF2400iS inverter generators can only be operated in
parallel using Yamaha genuine special-purpose parallel cable set to suit
EF2000iS or EF2400iS. Never attempt to connect the generators using a
cable other than the special-purpose parallel cable set.
Securely plug in the special connector plugs all the way into the sockets
when connecting the parallel cable set the generators and when
connecting any electrical device.
Always make sure to plug a compatible plug into the socket of the
parallel cable set.
Do not disconnect the parallel cable set during parallel operation
Connect the parallel cable set prior to starting the engine, and only
disconnect it after turning off the engine.
Do not output electricity after stopping one of the generator engines
with the parallel cable set still connected.
When operating a single generator alone instead of parallel running,
always make sure to disconnect the parallel cable set from the
generator.
Do not connect the parallel cable set when two generators are operating
independently.
Carefully read the generator-operating manual provided with the
EF2000iS or EF2400iS when using the generator.
